All accounts are billed in October or November of the current year for service for the
following year. Accounts are payable in full by January 1 of the service year.
Bills unpaid after January 15 of the service year are subject to a 10% service
charge.
Pro-rated billing is available for Residential and Commercial accounts in the first
service year. Billing for the first service year will be based only on the portion
of the year during which service is connected. Accounts that are terminated before
December 31 of any service year are eligible for A pro-rated refund for the portion of the
year for which service is not provided.
Pro-rated billing is not available for accounts eligible for the Discount rate.
The discount rate applies for any service in any given year and is not refundable upon
termination.
Accounts with unpaid bills after February 15 of the service year are subject to
termination of monitoring service and civil litigation to collect fees for the portion of
the year during which service was provided. Should alarm monitoring service be
terminated due to non-payment of bills, service cannot be restored until all arrears are
paid in full and a 2-year pre-payment is received for the account, which includes the
current service year and the following year.
In order to connect to our monitoring service you must:
 | Obtain, complete, and return an alarm monitoring contract |
 | Install the alarm system at the premises |
 | Contact the Monroe County Control Center to complete testing and connection procedures
shortly before activating the account to ensure that all signals are programmed and
received properly. |
