This is a full-time forty (40) hour on-site administrative role with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Administrative and clerical support working in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • Fiscal duties such as receivables, payables and budget. Experience working in Quick Books is a must.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience working in Local Government in PA is preferred
  • Experience in an administrative or financial setting is preferred
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment substance abuse screening as well as random screenings if hired.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

The Monroe County Control Center is accepting applications for the position of 911 Public Safety Dispatcher. Completed application packets submitted to our office will be kept on file until the next round of pre-employment testing, not to exceed one year. We are looking for candidates who are customer service-oriented and are able to handle stressful situations while maintaining composure and self-control. Candidates must be at least (18) years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have/maintain a clear criminal history. Applicants must pass a criminal background check, reference check, written test, a keyboarding test with a minimum score of 35 words per minute, oral interview and pre-employment drug screening, as well as random alcohol and drug screenings once hired. The Monroe County Control Center is a 24-hour, 7 days a week operation. The selected applicants are required to rotate on ALL shifts and must be available to work NIGHTS, OVERNIGHTS, WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS. There are no exceptions


Competitive Pay – Starting wage of $20.37 with fast paced increases towards top rate of $29.22.
